There are both verbal and non-verbal methods of letting someone know that they are loved. Romantic gestures offer an effective method of expressing love. There are several types of romantic gestures which will show a person how you feel, without having to actually tell them. Showing someone they are loved is sometimes more effective than telling them.

Hand Gestures

Hand gestures are one way of expressing love. The "I Love You" sign can be done by extending the thumb, pinky and index fingers, while allowing the ring finger to rest upon the palm of the hand. A kiss is blown by kissing the hand and then blowing across it to send the kiss out to a loved one.

A kiss is another gesture that can express love. In addition, the kiss can express other feelings like friendship or appreciation. Kissing someone on the lips shows love and a kiss on the hand can express adoration. A kiss on the chin shows an individual that you think they are cute and a kiss on the cheek expresses friendship.

Pampering a loved one is a way of showing just how much you care. There are several ways to pamper someone such as giving them a massage. Another gesture that will show love would be to run them a bubble bath after a particularly stressful or difficult day. Light some candles around the bed to create a mood of relaxation.

Cook Dinner

Cooking dinner is a gesture that conveys love. The act of planning the meal, shopping for ingredients and cooking the food shows that you care. Let your loved one sit back and clean the dishes afterward.

Plan a Trip

Planning an unexpected trip is another loving gesture. Take your loved one to a place where they have always wanted to go. Revisit a honeymoon destination to make the trip even more special. Even a short weekend away, at a bed and breakfast, will show careful thought and consideration.
