QuickBooks is an extremely common bookkeeping software package for small- and medium-sized businesses. It is developed by Intuit, and has developed a loyal following. QuickBooks is available for both Windows and Mac OS X. Customers who conduct businesses with point-of-sale (POS) activity can benefit from additional software designed to connect and share sales data directly with QuickBooks.

AccuPOS is designed for retail stores or food-service establishments. It employs a touchscreen-friendly interface to process sales. AccuPOS offers retailers a cash-register experience from the computer, while food-service customers can benefit from remote printing and table management. AccuPOS also offers franchise expansion tools to serve businesses with multiple locations.

MPOS offers three distinct software packages for businesses who rely on point-of-sale solutions. MPOS for Retail supports most standard point-of-sale equipment including receipt printers, cash drawers, credit-card readers, and bar-code scanners. MPOS for Spa and Salon owners is a package designed for the unique needs of such customers, including management of staff and spa rooms. Tanning Salon owners can manage tanning beds with an MPOS package specifically designed for them. MPOS can serve as a complete stand-alone POS solution, and it can be integrated into QuickBooks or other accounting packages.

Maitre'D POS

Maitre'D point-of-sale software is specifically designed to meet the retail needs of food service establishments, and it can fully integrate with a QuickBooks back office. The Maitre'D POS suite supports multiple terminals with a number of functions to address the needs of bars, dining rooms, takeout counters, or any combinations of these types of establishments. Maitre'D allows customers to personalise terminal screens according to employees, operations or even according to levels of management. Some additional features support table service, food delivery. Handheld and wireless functions and a variety of peripheral interfaces round out the Maitre'D POS software package.

NetStores Pos2Net provides an online e-commerce solution for QuickBooks retailers. Pos2Net is designed to facilitate easy creation of online storefronts that can also be integrated with in-store point of sale systems. The design tools are compatible with a number of common web-design packages, including Dreamweaver, Adobe GoLive, and Microsoft FrontPage. NetStores also offers a number of value-added features including domain hosting, dynamic online catalogue creation, support for shopping trolleys, and secure payment gateway systems.

QuickBooks Point of Sale

QuickBooks Point of Sale software is an add-on package for QuickBooks available from Intuit, the creators of QuickBooks. It allows you to ring up sales as if using a cash register, but directly from a computer. It stores sales, inventory and customer information. QuickBooks Point of Sale can record the purchase history for every customer, including name, contact information and purchases. Because it is developed by the makers of QuickBooks, all data is fully integrated.
