The Xerox DC 3535, also known as the DocuColor 3535, is a multi-function printer manufactured by Xerox. The 3535 is marketed as a four-in-one laser printer that also has copying, scanning and faxing capabilities. The printer is said to deliver high-quality colour prints and copies and is ideal for producing presentations and reports for business purposes. As of 2010, only pre-owned 3535 printers are available.

Technology

The Xerox DC 3535 comes with a laser marking engine, standard memory of 256 MB and a 20 GB hard disk drive. The resolution varies by function. The copy resolution is 600-by-600 dpi with a photo mode option, the print resolution is 600-by-600-by-8 dpi Contone and the scanning feature offers four resolutions -- 600-by-600, 400-by-400, 300-by-300 and 200-by-200.

The Xerox DC 3535 printer's first copy out time is 7 seconds for a black-and-white page and 10.4 seconds for a colour page. The rated speed is 35 pages per minute for both colour and black-and-white.

Paper Handling

The Xerox DC 3535 comes with five trays, including a bypass tray. The standard paper capacity equals 2,175 sheets. The printer is equipped with a standard duplex automatic document feeder with a capacity of 50 sheets and an offsetting centre tray with a capacity of 500 sheets. An optional finisher with a capacity of 1,000 sheets is available with this printer. The printer also offers duplex (double-sided) printing and copying, as well as scan to e-mail.

Supplies

The Xerox DC 3535 must have a toner and drum cartridge. The toner cartridges are available in black, cyan, yellow and magenta. Each of these items are replaceable by the owner and do not require servicing by the manufacturer.
