Having goggles that fit over your prescription glasses or sunglasses is extremely important in motorcycling predominantly because not all prescription glasses are shatter resistant. Goggles that fit over your glasses not only allow you to see clearly, but also protect your eyes in the event that a rock or other road debris hits the lens. In addition, goggles help reduce air flow over your eye, which can cause irritation.

Cocoons Pro Series goggles are custom-designed to provide excellent ultraviolet protection, impact resistance and style. They are available in six styles to provide you with a comfortable fit over your prescription glasses, as well as match your own aesthetics. Cocoons goggles can be purchased with a glare-reducing coating as well as hydrophobic coatings that prevent debris from sticking to the lenses. This is a helpful feature if your riding is rural in nature and takes you through swarms of bugs.

Fitovers sunglass goggles were originally developed in Australia, and since their introduction have expanded into an enormous variety of available styles. All Fitovers lenses are specially treated with lens coatings that make them not only impact resistant, but also able to repel fingerprints, smudges and debris you might encounter on the road. Fitovers also provide FlashReflect, a trademarked process of mirroring your lenses to direct harsh light away from your eyes, a particularly helpful feature when you're riding into the setting or rising sun.

Vistana Sunglasses

Vistana Sunglasses produces what are considered by many to be the very best fit-over sunglasses/goggles on the market. This is because, unlike other brands, it is very difficult to tell that the glasses you have on are actually fit-over goggles. Vistana calls this technology DBT, or Dynamic Base Technology, which provides a more panoramic view than is possible when using other manufacturers' goggles. This is a benefit for riders for obvious reasons, as other styles of fit-over goggles can block your peripheral vision, a potentially dangerous situation on a motorcycle. Vistana goggles are available in both grey and copper.

Aviator Goggles

Aviator T2 Goggles are traditionally-styled goggles that have the appearance of World War II fighter plane goggles. They were, in fact, first manufactured in France in 1929 by Leon Jeantet. They are extremely high-quality optical goggles that provide not only UV protection, but also impact resistance. Aviator's line of goggles feature a variety of lens shades and are interchangeable to tune your visibility to the prevailing conditions in which you are riding.

Bobster Eyewear

Bobster Eyewear produces several styles of off-road and on-road goggles that fit over your prescription eyeglasses. All are available with tinted lens coatings for UV protection, or can be purchased in clear versions for riding safely at night, and are impact resistant. They are not completely sealed goggles, meaning that air is allowed to enter the goggles, but at a much reduced rate than you might find if you were to ride with just your prescription glasses on.
