The IBM NetVista is a series of products released by IBM starting in 1996. These products included software programs, kiosks and computer workstations. Basic input/output system (BIOS) is the code that your computer first launches when starting your operating system and it recognises devices installed on your system, including keyboards, hard drives, CD-ROM drives and video cards. If your system is not recognising your newly installed hardware, then you may need to perform a BIOS update, but you should perform a BIOS update only if it's absolutely necessary. You can download all of these updates for free from the Lenovo website.

This Flash BIOS update is designed specifically for the following versions of NetVista: 2254, 2256, 2257, 6029, 6336, 6337, 6339, 6341, 6342, 6346, 6347 and 6348. A bootable disk is especially helpful if you cannot get your computer to normally launch. ISO files are image files of either CD or DVD drives which are condensed into a single image file. These BIOS updates are offered in English and Japanese.
