Permeable paver bricks, also called pervious, porous, or grass pavers, are a driveway paving material that can support heavy vehicles without significantly inhibiting rainwater absorption. They are installed like conventional paving stone or brick, without the need for below-ground drainage pipes-. They are typically made of concrete or plastic. Permeable pavers are often planted with low-growing grasses or herbs and are available in many patterns.

Square or Diamond

Interlocking square-grid paver panels may be installed parallel to the edge of the driveway or turned diagonally to form a diamond pattern. Large panels are available, reducing driveway installation time.

Houndstooth or Chevron

For increased visual interest, some homeowners prefer a paving pattern with classic fabric-weaving design such as houndstooth or a chevron pattern. Both styles of paving panels are easily installed parallel to the edges of the driveway but result in an attractive diagonal pattern.

Hexagonal or Round

Hexagonal or round-brick paving panels are configured to easily align with and connect to adjacent panels. The finished appearance of the driveway complements many contemporary-style homes.
