Whether you are a fitness fanatic or a gym newbie, you have to have clothes to wear when you work out. Tight-fitting shirts, shorts and sports bras have replaced baggy shorts and T-shirts as the most popular gym-clothing style, especially for women. There are several clothing brands that offer high-quality tight-fitting workout wear. You can find these and other tight-fitting clothes brands at most sports stores and yoga studios.

Hard Tail Forever

Hard Tail makes yoga-inspired women's workout gear with a nod to comfort and function. You can find stretchy shorts and capri pants as well as snug-fitting tops. The tops feature racerback and Y-back styles so that the straps don't cut into your shoulder blades as you bend and twist during your workout. All Hard Tail clothing is made in the U.S. Most pieces range from about £19 to £52.

Adidas

Adidas, perhaps better known for its looser-fitting soccer styles, also makes tight-fitting gym clothes. Its Core Performance clothing line for women includes tanks, tops, tights and trousers that hug every curve. Some of its pieces include ventilation inserts that are designed to wick sweat away from your body as you work out. Prices range from about £11 to £39.

Target

For more affordable workout duds, Target offers a good selection of tight-fitting tanks, yoga trousers, and tops in a range of materials. Its C9 by Champion line offers pieces that are appropriate for most sports and gym workouts and rang in price from about £6 to £13.
