The Intel X58 chipset is sized in an ATX form factor and designed specifically to be used with the Intel Core i7 processor series. This chipset also supports 16x and 8x PCI-Express ports and the Intel solid state hard drives. A high-definition audio controller is included on board the chipset.

The Alienware Area 51 motherboards have a large complement of interface ports. Internally you have four memory modules, six serial ATA slots, RAID support and five PCI-E slots.
