One of the largest bicycle manufacturers in the world, Trek produces a diverse range of bicycles including cruisers, mountain bikes and road racers. Inspired equally by road and mountain bike design, the 2010 Trek 7100 hybrid bike is designed for urban cyclists who enjoy occasional off-road adventures. The Trek 7100 is available in various colours and sizes.

Drive Train

The 2010 Trek 7100 uses a Shimano M191 front derailleur coupled with a Sram X.3 rear derailleur. A 7-speed cassette and 48/38/28 chainring trio give the Trek 7100 a possible 21 speeds. Gears are changed using a pair of Sram 3.0 Comp twist grip shifters. The bicycle employs everyday use nylon platform pedals.

The Trek 7100 includes Bontrager 550 wheels, with alloy hubs and a 36-hole rim. 700 x 35c Bontrager H4 tires cushion each wheel. The tires use a tread that allows the bicycle to travel comfortably on- and off-road.

The 2010 Trek 7100 is available in 15, 17.5, 20 and 22.5 inch frames. Made of aluminium, these frames come in either Bright Silver/Metallic Black or Metallic Green/Metallic Sand. An SR Suntour NEX front suspension provides extra cushion for off-road riding.

The 2010 Trek 7100 incorporates a Bontrager Boulevard saddle mounted atop an adjustable alloy seat post. The steel handlebars are adjustable, allowing for a customised fit. The bicycle relies on Tektro V-brakes and Tektro brake levers to provide stopping power.
