Delta makes three different types of kitchen faucets: a single-handle faucet, two-handle faucet, and pull-out faucet. While some of these parts are specific to the particular faucet type, others are interchangeable among the faucet types. Knowing the particular parts and when they are needed aids in quicker troubleshooting of common Delta kitchen faucet problems.

Seats And Springs

The same seats and springs are available for all three types of Delta kitchen faucets. The repair kit for these is identified as RP4993. Included in this kit are two rubber seats and two metal springs. These parts are located within each handle of two-handle Delta kitchen faucets and beneath the handle of the pull-out and one-handle kitchen faucets. A symptom of the seats and springs needing replacement in the kitchen faucets is when the aerator, located on the tip of the faucet, leaks.

O-Rings

O-rings are small rubber rings within the faucet that prevent the spout from leaking. A leak from the base of the spout in the two-handle and one-handle Delta kitchen faucet types is an indicator that the o-ring needs replacing. Each of the three kitchen faucet types uses a different O-ring. For two-handle faucets, the O-ring is in repair kit RP2055; for one-handle faucets, the O-ring replacement is found in repair kit RP25; and, for pull-out faucets, the O-rings are in repair kit RP32520.

Diverter Assembly

The diverter assembly diverts the water from the faucet to the sprayer in Delta one-handle and two-handle kitchen faucets. For leaks from the head of the sprayer in both models, the diverter assembly needs to be removed, cleaned, and possibly replaced. This part may also need replacing if the faucet sprayer does not function properly. The two-handle and one-handle models use a different diverter assembly. The repair kit is RP320 for one-handle models and RP6073 for the two-handle faucet models.

Spray and Hose

The sprayer and hose that are used for both the two-handle and one-handle models is one and the same. For either models, the repair kit for this part is RP31612. The sprayer and hose need to be replaced if the sprayer continues leaking or malfunctioning after the diverter assembly has been replaced.
