Mercedes-Benz manufactures an E-class of executive-sized cars. The "E" comes from the German term for "fuel-injection," meaning that all cars of this class use a fuel-injection system rather than a carburettor. The "E" is a prefix used before the model number. The E200 is a relatively new car to the E-series that is officially called the E200 CGI Blue Efficiency. The cars have a reputation for high efficiency, street performance and environmental friendliness.

The E200 uses a 1.8-litre, 1,796-cc petrol engine. The engine produces 183 brake horsepower at 5,600rpm. The engine can reach 62mph in 11.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 119mph. Its best gas efficiency is 29 miles per hour (mpg) highway and 20mpg in the city. The car comes complete with a five-speed manual transmission with touch shift feature.

Colours and Design Features

The Mercedes E200 is available in six custom Mercedes colours. Buyers can choose Calcite White in non-metallic paint. Metallic paint is available in Obsidian Black, Indigolian Blue, Iridium Silver, Cuprite Brown, Palladium Silver and Flint Grey. Design features of the E200 include a tilting/sliding sunroof, bi-xenon headlights, ambient lighting, intelligent lighting system, adaptive high beam assist and a sun protection package. The car also comes with features such as advanced parking guidance, daytime driving headlights, built-in Bluetooth, automatic climate control, seat comfort and memory package.
