Komatsu manufactures more than 20 types of equipment including backhoe loaders, compact track loaders, crawler carriers, skid steer loaders, wheel loaders, trucks, presses and forklifts, to name just a few. Distributed internationally, the Komatsu products all have individual specifications, including the Komatsu engine, which has specifications for each model and piece of equipment. HM300-2 Truck

The HM300-2 Komatsu truck engine specs are extensive. Included are six cylinders of water-cooled, four cycle, turbocharged, after-cooled and cooled EGR. With a bore of 4.92 inches and 125mm, and a stroke of 5.91 inches and 150mm, the engine has a fan drive that is mechanical and fuel system that is direct-injection. The governor is electronically controlled and the filter is a full-flow type. With a gear pump, force-lubrication, the Komatsu engine for this truck also includes a dry-type air cleaner with double elements and precleaner. This truck model can travel at a maximum of 36.4 miles per hour.

HD405-7 Truck

With a maximum travelling speed of 43.5 miles per hour, the HD-405-7 truck model has six cylinders and a turbocharged aspiration engine. The water-cooled, four-cycle engine has a mechanical fan drive and maximum torque of 1,600 foot-pounds. The governor is electronically controlled and the air cleaner is a dry type with double elements and precleaner, as well as a dust indicator.

AE50/AM50 Forklift

Komatsu engine specifications on the AE50/AM50 forklift include a maximum travel speed of 11 miles per hour with 2.9 second acceleration and 19 per cent grade-ability. The AC hydraulic motor is efficient for providing high performance with low cost. This motor provides higher standards than DR-type motors, including high operating efficiency, longer run times and a long operating life.

Performance enhancers with this forklift model include travel speed set-up, plugging regeneration set-up, tilting speed adjustment and lifting speed adjustment. Other specifications of interest include: full-feathering of hydraulic movements, hydrostatic power steering and switchbacks, and accurately measured and controlled oil flow through the engine.
