Dental office computer systems offer technology solutions for dental practices. Software can assist with the collection, classification, storage, retrieval and dissemination of information and patient records. The systems work in scheduling, billing, images, e-claims, practice management, dental charting, image management, inter-office messaging and other duties to help effectively run the practice. It is affordable, safe, efficient and cost effective to use dental office computer systems.

Office-Partner OpChart

This software is produced by OCS Dental Software. OpChart uses graphical restorative charting and graphical periodontal charting. This helps in eliminating the use of paper charts because chart notes are entered into the system and saved. Documents that are filed as paper forms can be scanned into your image management software using a high speed document scanner. The information can be retrieved and accessed by all staff in the dental clinic when needed. Office Partner OpChart helps in billing, as well. The person billing enters the treatment from the operatory using a graphical chart. He enters the treatment by description and the Current Dental Terminology (CDT) code with the correct surface, and the fees are automatically entered in the patient's ledger.

The system offers a number of services such as patient charting which includes perio charting, restorative charting, pre-existing, treatment planning, completed treatment, perio notation, restorative notation and notation by tooth. It makes patient registration easier and records information such as name, address, phone numbers, employer information, recall information, insurance coverage, payment plans, auto adjustments, general and medical notes and alerts. It also provides fully integrated and choice options radiography. Patient financial functions, such as charges, payments, adjustments and statements are also supported by Genesis and password-protected. The patient financials function also provides fully audited statements and itemised previous balances.

Advanced Ortho Systems Program Director

This system provides licenses for unlimited workstations, patient & billing party information database, patient scheduling, check-in, on-deck & checkout system, accounts receivable functions (includes allowing patients to pick payment due dates) and insurance processing, including electronic claims submission. The system also supports treatment charting, notes & planning, automated communications with patients & referral sources (MS Word & Internet), management reports & data query system (standard or graphical format). It also houses an intranet system for staff communications, patient medical questionnaire, recall system and referral tracking.
