The Little Tikes Tropical Playground is an extra large outdoor playground set intended for children over the age of three. The playground is made of durable plastic and designed in bright tropical colours. The set includes four different play levels, a tunnel, two slides and climbing features which will provide hours of entertainment for your children. Due to the large size of the playground pieces, the manufacturer recommends that two adults work together when assembling the Little Tikes Tropical Playground.

Instructions

  1. 1

Read through the instructions to make sure you understand the entire assembly process before starting.

  2. 2

Put on your safety glasses before beginning assembly.

  3. 3

Assemble the walls. Attach the walls together according to the letters moulded onto the bottom corners. The walls are lettered A through M. Start by hooking the two As together, then the two Bs and so on until you get through M. To connect the walls together, lift up the wall with the hooks, and then insert the hooks into the openings on its matching counterpart. After inserting the hooks into the openings, push down on the wall with the hooks in it to lock the two walls together. When you get to the walls labelled D, place a small block of wood on the walls and pound with a hammer to lock them into place.

  4. 4

Assemble the tunnel bottom. Start by finding the tunnel bottom that's labelled B and is the piece without the pegs and line it up with the lower shelf that's located on the wall with the bubble window. To secure the pieces in place, insert the two 1 5/8-inch bolts along with the bolt covers into the holes on the inside of the tunnel bottom and tighten the bolts with your Phillips-head screwdriver. Take two more 1 5/8-inch bolts along with the bolt covers and tighten them in the two holes located underneath the tunnel bottom.

  5. 5

Assemble the top of the tunnel. Start by placing the top piece of the tunnel that's labelled A and is the piece with the pegs and line it up with the top shelf that's located on the wall with the bubble window. Next, line up the pegs on the inside rim of the tunnel with the holes in the walls and push down to lock into place. To secure the pieces, insert the two 1 5/8-inch bolts along with the bolt covers into the holes in the top of the tunnel and tighten with your Phillips-head screwdriver. Next, insert three 1 5/8-inch bolts along with the bolt covers into the tunnel top and into the threaded bushing inside the holes in the tunnel bottom and tighten with your screwdriver.

  6. 6

Assemble the small slide. Start by taking the small slide that's labelled F and lining it up with lower slide shelf. Insert the two bolts labelled M into the holes on each side of the slide. Next, insert the long rod labelled G through the bolts and secure each end with the caps labelled J. Tap each of the caps with your hammer to make sure they are secure.

  7. 7

Assemble the large slide. Start by taking the large slide that's labelled E and lining it up with upper slide shelf. Insert the two bolts labelled M into the holes on each side of the slide. Next, insert the long rod labelled G through the bolts and secure each end with the caps labelled J. Tap each of the caps with your hammer to make sure they are secure.
