Personalised pieces from your wedding day will be held dear for years to come. Embroider personal fashion accessories for you and your bridal party. You can embroider following a pattern or even using a loved one's handwriting. If someone in your family knows how to embroider, learn by watching them; it can become a great memory to share with future generations. Embroidery can be done either by hand or by using a machine.

According to Craft Stylish, a wedding garter can be your something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. A wedding garter can be embroidered, whether it is handmade or purchased at a retail store. Using a fabric marker, write or trace a sentiment or design onto the garter. Choose the embroidery floss colour, and use simple stitches around the fabric to create your hand-embroidered garter for your special day.

Wedding handkerchiefs can be used by the bride, groom and families, or for gifts for the wedding party. Hand embroider kerchiefs for the bridal party as gifts, or for the mother of the bride to carry. Some ideas for designs include monogrammed, name and date format, or theme designs. These handkerchiefs can be tucked away into a pocket or even sewn to the inside of the dress for a special memory.

Flip Flops

Many brides choose to wear flip flops as their shoes for the wedding day. Or they will wear flip flops on a spa day out with their bridesmaids. For either occasion, embroidered touches to the flip flops can turn these regular shoes into something personal. In order to embroider flip flops, you will need to purchase the ones with fabric straps instead of plastic. Choose a bright colour on dark shoes so the name or design will show up well.

Ring Bearer's Pillow

Adorn your ring bearer's pillow with a nice design or monogram for the wedding day. This pillow usually has the rings attached to it so your photographer will be taking many pictures of it and the little one that carries it down the aisle. Choose colours that go with your wedding, or even a white embroidery on a white satin pillow creates a nice clean modern feel.
