Two turbines supply the DC20 with power. The larger turbine is versatile enough to supply power to a variety of floors including tiles, wood or carpets. The smaller turbine is responsible for supplying the power to remove the pet hair and dirt from upholstery, stairs and inside your car. A hose is attached to the smaller turbine. Dyson Cyclone technology powers both turbines without losing suction.

Quick Draw Wand

The vacuum features a quick-draw wand. The wand is located in the central handle. Users can quickly remove the handle and use the long-reach wand to vacuum in difficult to reach areas such as stairs, ceilings, above bookcases and tall dressers, high shelves.

Like most Dyson vacuums, the DC20 features a dust-collecting bin. The bin is easily removable by pressing a button and pulling it out. Users can empty the bin directly into a rubbish bin or dumpster and clean it out with soap and water. The bin has a clean function, which allows users to dump dirt without getting it on them.

HEPA and Bactisafe

The DC20 also features a HEPA and Bactisafe filter that clean the vacuum's exhaust air. This ensures that the vacuum's exhaust is clean and contributes positively to your home's air quality. The filter traps contaminates such as pollen, dander, dust mites and mould spores.

Fingtertip Brush Control

The vacuum also features fingertip brush control, which allows the user to control the brushes at the touch of a finger. This allows the user to easily turn off the vacuum's brush over delicate carpets and hardwood floors that might get scratched with heavily rotating brush bars. The feature will work during regular use.
