Paganism, which is a blanket term for a religion that includes the Wicca religion, is often associated with witchcraft. The Pagan religion is a nature-based religion that includes everything from the natural elements of our planet to the solar system. Pagan decorating conventions are often nature based, mixed with the magical elements often found in the Wicca religion.

Pagan Altar

Build a Pagan worship altar. Match the altar with the season and change it as the seasons change. A cloth covering on your altar in blue for winter, yellow for summer, green for spring, and brown tones for fall will help define seasons. Add tarot cards and candles, shells, stones and other natural elements that represent your spiritual place at a particular moment in your life. Other colours for your altar include colours that indicate your mood, such as orange for being in a creative slump, gold for feeling poor or purple for anxious.

Wall Decor

Decorate your walls with scenes from nature, a dragon or pentagram tapestry, images of the sun and moon as people, or celestial scenes (stars, the moon, etc.). Hang beads in various Pagan colours (black, red, purple, orange and gold) throughout your home. Hang elements from nature from your ceiling, including the sun, moon and stars. Chimes featuring these elements are particularly ornamental and provide a gentle musical sound ideal for meditating.

Table Decor

Cover tables with silk cloth marked with Celtic or Gothic symbols, black, white and red candles in Celtic or Gothic candleholders, and colourful stones or gems. Gothic-inspired incense holders with incense also make ideal table decor. An old book of magic spells placed on your coffee table can also enhance the Pagan atmosphere. Place statues of gargoyles and Pagan deities around your room to accentuate the table decor.
