Northern and Southern Ireland are a popular motorcycling destination with long, un-congested country roads, historic sites and natural scenery. Golf, fishing, horse racing and watersports are also popular pastimes throughout Ireland. Both countries have many annual events and festivals with hotel and accommodation in plentiful supply. Direct flights and ferries from mainland Europe and Britain run on a daily basis.

North West 200

The International North West 200 is an annual event and takes place every May, on the north coast of Northern Ireland. The event is Ireland's largest outdoor sporting fixture and the motorcycle race runs between the towns of Portrush, Portstewart, and Coleraine. Crowds are usually in excess of 150,000 as well as the biggest names in the sport such as Michael Rutter, Steve Plater and John McGuinness attend the event. The route follows a path of natural scenery and passes the Giant's Causeway.
