Motherhood can be a very stressful job. Whether or not she works outside the home, a mother has much on her to-do list: taking care of her home and children while juggling their appointments and extra-curricular activities. Often, moms are last on their own lists. Giving a gift to a stressed-out mom can help her relax so she can handle her everyday activities.

Relaxation Gifts

A gift token to a local spa help the stressed-out mother relax, de-stress and rejuvenate herself with spa treatments, such as a manicure, pedicure, facial or massage. Offer your babysitting services for the time period when she will be at the spa. If a spa gift token is out of your price range, give her a gift basket that gives her a bit of the spa experience in her own house. Purchase a fluffy robe, bath salts, bubble bath, lotion and a manicure set. Go over to her house and take care of the kids for a little while so she has some time to herself to enjoy her home spa treatments.

Household Help

Some moms have way too much to do. Help them out by hiring a local maid service to come over and clean a few times. That way, she will have more time to do all her other chores and errands without worrying about the house. If she takes care of the lawn, a gift token to a local lawn care company could be a big help. If you are short on money, but still want to help her out, give her a gift token good for a few hours of help from you. Mow her lawn, do her dishes or fold some laundry. She is sure to be thankful.

Stressed out moms sometimes get too busy to step back and remember why the reason they do so much: their children. Moms who are busy and stressed might not have the time to organise the photos they have taken over the years. If you have pictures of Mom and her family, organise them for her. You may have pictures you have taken yourself or you might be able to access some that she has uploaded onto a social-networking site. Print out the photos and place them in a photo album or start a scrapbook as a special gift for her.
