Your kitchen pantry or fridge is filled with all sorts of beneficial foods and ingredients that can fade pigmented acne marks or age spots. Foods with a high acid content eat away dead skin around the mark, which results in deep exfoliation over time. This reveals a brighter complexion as marks fade. Home remedies for pigmented facial skin work well, but most remedies take several months of consistent use to see real results.

Pineapple Juice

Pineapple juice contains acids and enzymes that eat away dead skin cells. This helps reveal brighter, younger looking skin underneath. Over time, pineapple juice can reduce pigmentation on the skin. Wash your face thoroughly with a mild face cleanser and pat dry with a soft towel. Cut up pineapple slices and place them in a juicer to make juice. Saturate a cotton pad with pineapple juice and apply to your face in an upward motion. Apply more juice to pigmented areas such as acne scars or age spots. Allow the mixture to stay on your skin for 20 minutes and then wash off. Continue doing this every other day for several months or until the pigmentation is gone. This is a slow process, but over time, the spots should be gone or at least fade dramatically.

Tomato Juice

Tomato juice also contains acids that fade pigmentation marks over time. Tomatoes are also an excellent source of vitamin A and other nutrients that feed your skin. Wash your face with a gentle face cleanser and pat dry. Place a whole tomato in a juicer to create juice and saturate a cotton pad with the mixture. Swipe the cotton pad on your face in upward strokes and apply extra juice on pigmented areas of your face. Allow the juice to stay on your face for 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse off. Continue doing this treatment every other day until spots are gone or faded to your satisfaction.

Raw Honey

Raw honey also helps to fade acne marks and other skin pigmentation. Raw honey is better than commercial processed honey because it has not been heated. Raw honey contains more nutrients and enzymes. This treatment is very healing on the skin, which also helps to eliminate current acne breakouts, skin rashes and other skin problems. Wash your face with a mild cleanser and apply a thin layer of raw honey directly on your skin. Apply extra honey on the acne marks. Allow the mixture to sink into your face for 30 minutes and then wash your face with water. Continue doing this treatment three times per week until your marks fade or completely go away.
