The simple act of moving two body parts in opposite directions at the same time is a brain game. Wire rings to untangle, 3-D jigsaw puzzles, a variety of twisting cubes and different peg games are just a few of the types of desk gadgets that are available on the market. These brain games can occupy the mind while providing a break in a stressful day.
While sitting at a desk, think of some recall activities that pertain to your own life. Try to remember the "to-do" list that your wife, husband or boss has prepared. Recall the last thing you said to the kids before you left the house that day. Retell a joke to yourself that you heard at work recently. Name three clients from the day before, as well as something distinctive about them. Recall the wording on a plaque that hangs inside the workplace doors or in a break area.
