When you decorate your home, you may decide to go to a home decorating store to buy colourful accessories, such as artistic balls that are placed into a bowl. These balls can be created with twine, wicker, branches or even feathers. Instead of spending a lot of money on these decorations, like pheasant feather balls, you can make your own using the basic materials. You can buy all of the supplies you need to make a pheasant ball from a craft supply store.

Place a foam ball in front of you on a flat surface. You can use any sized ball you prefer.

Dip the quill of a pheasant feather into craft glue, and insert it into the foam ball up to the feathered area.

Spread a thin layer of craft glue onto the area underneath the feather, then lay the feather flat onto the foam ball. Hold the feather in place for 2 minutes until the glue dries.

Repeat this process around the entire ball to cover the ball with the first layer of pheasant feathers. Let the glue dry for 2 minutes.

Insert a feather quill into one of the spaces between the feathers of the first layer, and apply glue onto the back of the feather. Lay the feather over onto the ball, covering the first layer and spaces in between the first layer of feathers. Let the glue dry for 2 minutes.
