Popsicle sticks can provide hours of amusement for children and adults alike. From crafts and puppets to construction projects, there are numerous projects you can complete. Popsicle sticks provide an extremely inexpensive means of entertainment. Building projects with Popsicle sticks not only keeps kids busy, it helps them develop construction skills and expands their imagination.

Log Cabin

Build a log cabin out of Popsicle sticks. Sketch the design on paper beforehand or just enjoy the adventure of creating as you build. Make a small log cabin or a larger cabin for dolls or army men. Cut the Popsicle sticks to play with the shape and create non-traditional curves and angles for a log cabin.

Make a catapult out of Popsicle sticks and rubber bands. Launch small toys, gummy bears and other tiny trinkets for fun or in battle.

Make a replica bridge out of Popsicle sticks. This is one of the most popular stick-building projects as it's something you can play with afterward, and you can base the design on a real bridge, such as the Golden Gate Bridge or small town crossing bridges.

Make a tower or skyscraper out of Popsicles. Start with a boxlike base and add legs to it with crossed Popsicle sticks. Build up however you see fit. Be careful about the geometry of the top, however, as a top-heavy and wide tower will be more likely to collapse because the balance is off.
