Despite its origins on the West Coast of the United States, skateboarding has spread across the globe, even hopping over the Atlantic Ocean into the United Kingdom, where there is a thriving skating scene. Indeed, skateboarders throughout the UK now have plenty of options for places to go where they can go and shred legally.
The Works Skatepark is an indoor park found in Leeds, in the heart of England. Due to the frequent inclement weather, the indoor skatepark makes year-round skating possible.
The park itself has four main sections to it. The first is a large street course. The second is another street course, but more tightly designed and conducive to lines. The third is a pool for vertical tricks. The final section is an array of ramps and spines for even more verticle tricks.
If you need to rest, The Works also has a cafe and lounge with pool and foosball. Those with BMX bikes, roller blades and scooters can also use this facility.

BaySixty6, formerly known as PlayStation Skate Park, is the largest skateboard park in London and is located in the Notting Hill neighbourhood, near the Westbourne Park tube stop.
The park is a magnet for boarding events, as there is a new competition, camp or exhibition every one or two weeks. The park itself combines both indoor and outdoor elements--it is open-air, located under a covered area, but still has a wooden course. It also has sizeable street and verticle courses.
The park is also open to BMX riders, but they can only ride verticle on Tuesday and Sunday evenings.
The park holds beginners sessions during the weekends from 10 a.m. to noon.

Unit 23 calls itself the largest skate park in the United Kingdom, with an area of 56,000 square feet. This indoor park provides year-round sessions for skaters in the north from its location in Dumbarton, Scotland, to the northwest of Glasgow.
The park is divided into three main halls. The first is a verticle course teeming with half and quarter pipes. The second is a street course with boxes and rails. The third is what Unit 23 calls the "Mega Bowl," a large bowl with a spine in the middle. Also on-site is the UK's largest foam pit.
The park also has an outdoor trails and ramp course for BMX riders.
