The Callaway Golf Company is well known for making consumer-friendly drivers. In fact, its Big Bertha driver was banned by the PGA for being too forgiving and easy to use. For that reason, in its Performance-Enhancing Sports Gift Guide, "Esquire" magazine insists that "no golf bag is complete" without one. The drivers Callaway manufactures in 2010 all share the same ability to allow any golfer to hit the ball farther with less effort.

FT-iZ & FT-iZ Tour Driver Specs

All of Callaway's FT-iZ and FT-iZ Tour Drivers share a 60.0 degree lie, 460 CC, a swing weight of D4 and are 45 inches long. All of the Flex shaft offerings, made by Aldila, have mid torque and a low kickpoint. The Light flex shaft has a weight of 57; the Regular and Stiff flex have a weight of 58. Both the 9 and 10 degree loft drivers have square face angles, while the 8.5, 9.5, 10.5, 11 and 13 degree lofts have a 1.0 degree Closed face angle. All drivers are available as right-handed clubs; the 9.5, 10 and 11 degree lofts also come left-handed.

FT Tour Driver Specs

Callaway's FT Tour Drivers--8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degree loft--have a lie of 56.5 degrees, 440 CC and a D3 swing weight. They all also have a 1.5 degree Open face angle and are 45 inches long. Only the 9.5 degree loft driver comes in a left-handed club. The Flex shafts for the FT Tour Drivers, made by Aldila, have mid-low torque and low kickpoint. The SVS6 60 Stiff has a weight of 67, while the XVS6 60 X-Stiff has a weight of 69.

FT-9 Driver Specs

The Callaway FT-9 Drivers all share a 58.0 degree lie, 460 CC, a 1.0 degree closed face angle, D3 swing weight and 45-inch length. All of the FT-9 lofts--9, 10, 11 and 13 HT degrees--and are available right-handed; the 10 and 11 degree drivers can also be made left-handed. The flex shafts, manufactured by Fujikura, all have mid torque and a low kickpoint. The Light (R2) flex has a weight of 60; both the Regular (R) and Stiff flex have a 59 weight.

FT-9 Tour Driver Specs

The Callaway FT-9 Tour Drivers all share a 58.0 degree lie, 460 CC, a 1.0 degree Open face angle, D3 swing weight and 45-inch length. All of the FT-9 Tour lofts--8.5, 9.5 and 10.5--are available as right-handed clubs; only the 9.5 also comes left-handed. The FT-9 Tour flex shaft choices, also made by Fujikura, include Regular--weight 69, mid torque and mid kickpoint; Stiff--weight 68, mid torque and mid kickpoint; and X-Stiff--weight 68, mid-low torque and high kickpoint.

Diablo Edge Driver Specs

The Diablo Edge Drivers all have a 57.0 degree lie, 460 CC, D4 swing weight and are 45.5 inches long. The 9 and 10 degree loft drivers have a Square face angle; the 11 and 13 degree drivers have a 1.0 closed face angle. All drivers are right-handed; the 10 and 11 degree lofts also come in left-handed. The Aldila-made available Flex shafts--Light (A), Regular and Stiff--all have a weight of 60, mid torque and a low kickpoint.

Diablo Edge Tour Driver Specs

The Diablo Edge Tour Drivers all have a 57.0 degree lie, 460 CC, a 1.0 degree Open face angle, D3 swing weight and are 45 inches long. All lofts--8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degrees--are right-handed; the 9.5 also comes left-handed. The flex shafts are also Aldila-manufactured. The Regular flex shaft is 60 weight, mid torque and low kickpoint. The Stiff flex shaft is 60 weight, mid torque and mid kickpoint. The X-Stiff flex shaft is 60 weight, mid torque and high kickpoint.
