The U.K. is famous for universities like Oxford and Cambridge, two of the most prestigious places to study in the world. Every year in the UK the Independent Newspaper publishes a guide to the top universities, both in terms of overall performance and excellence in specific subjects. According to this guide London School of Economics, Warwick and Edinburgh are the best universities in the U.K. for accounting and finance.
London School of Economics (LSE)
LSE's Department of Accounting offers a range of Bachelor's, Master's and Ph.D. qualifications. At the Bachelor's level accounting is combined with finance and at the Master's level students can choose between an MSc Accounting and Finance, which is intended for those with an accounting-based Bachelor's, or an MSc Accounting, Organisations and Institutions, an inter-disciplinary course for students who want a career in management, consultancy or the public sector and need some financial training. The department also offers a Diploma in Accounting and Finance, a one-year course designed for those who wish to pursue a Master's in accounting but lack the required academic background.
