Naturism, also known as nudism, is a lifestyle or philosophy centred toward accepting a natural attitude toward the naked human body. Naturist resorts offer a safe space where practicing nudists can enjoy recreational activities in the company of like-minded individuals. According to the American Association for Nude Recreation, nudism can enhance self-esteem, offer respite from stress and enhance the experience of connecting with natural surroundings. There are several naturist resorts in Washington state.
