These specialised doctors evaluate patients and can prescribe psychiatric drugs. Although there is no official ranking system for the top medical school psychiatry programs, several schools that were rated the top medical schools in 2010 by "U.S. News & World Report" are also considered to have some of the country's strongest psychiatry programs.
