The United Kingdom hosts a variety of independent music labels and this list is in no way exhaustive; however, it covers labels of different genres.

Angular Records Corporation

Angular Records Corporation (ARC), a British indie label, was conceived in 2003 by Joe Daniel and Joe Margetts in London. According to the label's website, it has been a part of The New Rave scene that includes The Klaxons, a band on the label, and they produce eccentric and the "finest pop music we can find."

Blues Matters!

Blues Matters! is a UK blues magazine and recording label located in London. The popularity of the magazine has lead to an impressive launch of the label, according to bluesmatters.com.

Damaged Goods is an independent punk label founded in 1988. According to damagedgoods.com, it currently produces reissues of punk, and new emo, hardcore and punk music.

Dented Records

Dented Records, an independent hip hop label in London, was established in 2003. According to Dentedrecords.com, without falling into the mainstream type of music they still manage to be heard by a large number of people.

FatCat Records, an independent music label located in Brighton, UK, produces a variety of different types of music. It has fostered Icelandic band, Sigor Ros, and Scottish band, Frightened Rabbit.
