Breakfast is a great opportunity to get together and socialise in the mornings. It also helps to keep spirits high, give members something to look forward to, and help you start off the day in a healthy way. However, if you are a member of a breakfast club, you may have run out of creative breakfast food ideas. If you are tired of bringing traditional bagels, English muffins, or casseroles, try a different recipe that is both easy and delicious.

Breakfast Burritos

Breakfast burritos are a great, simple breakfast idea that can be made in advance, frozen, and baked the day of the breakfast club. Breakfast burritos can be made in a variety of ways, but a general recipe is to fry sausage or bacon, crumble it into scrambled eggs, and add salsa and cheese. Spoon the egg mixture into soft taco shells, wrap the burritos, and place them on a tray until they are frozen. Thaw the burritos the night before the breakfast club, wrap them in foil, and bake them the next day. Add other ingredients to spice them up, such as hash browns, vegetables, or other types of cheeses.

For an interesting variation to a traditional breakfast casserole, make a quiche with new ingredients and flavours. Quiche is a sort of custard pie made with eggs and cream, and then other ingredients are added for extra flavour. A spinach feta quiche is a low fat, vegetarian option for breakfast club that uses baby spinach, onion, and a few shakes of cayenne paper to give it spice. The quiche is topped with feta cheese and baked until it is golden brown. Add mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, or green peppers, or crumble some sausage or bacon inside for a richer flavour.

Egg and Bacon Baskets

Egg and bacon baskets are a fun variation of a traditional breakfast dish. Using bread, eggs, and bacon as ingredients, cut the bread into circles and press them into muffin tins. Wrap medium cooked bacon inside the bread , and then crack an egg into the centre. Place them in the oven to bake, and you'll end up with adorable breakfast baskets that will be eaten in no time. Set out a bottle of maple syrup so that fellow breakfast club members can add a drizzle of syrup if they enjoy the taste of maple and bacon. Breakfast baskets can be altered slightly by whisking the eggs and adding ingredients such as cheese, onions, peppers, or mushrooms, and pouring the mixture inside the baskets.
