When you have a long and narrow bathroom, there are some creative techniques that will help you make the most of your space and create the illusion of a larger room. Because of the odd shape of the bathroom, you'll need to pay close attention to storage and spacing of accessories. Instructions

  1. 1

Pull in natural light by utilising colour. Paint the walls with a light colour such as an icy green or blue, white or cream or bright yellow to open up the space. Darker colours can make a room feel stuffy and closed in.

  2. 2

Install shelving. If you don't have cabinets or a closet or any space for a storage facility, make space using the walls. Purchase a long shelf or two for the walls. Place them on the upper portion of the wall so they're not in the way.

Use mirrors. They can open up a room and make it appear as though it is much more spacious. Purchase a large mirror or apply mirror tiles to a wall.
