Stretch Bracelets

For a stretch bracelet you will need a roll of stretch elastic, medium-sized beads of glass, fimo or other polymer clay, wood or plastic in an assortment of shapes and colours, one crimp bead, a pair of pliers and scissors. Since it is a stretch bracelet, cut the stretch elastic so that it is the same diameter as your wrist. Make a knot at one end and begin adding the beads that you have chosen. Once you have reached about an inch from the end, add a bead and put both ends of the bracelet through that bead. Slide the crimp bead on and with the pliers, clamp the bead and squeeze firmly to flatten the bead onto the stretch elastic. Trim any remaining elastic sticking out of the crimp bead.

Memory Wire Bracelets

Memory wire bracelets are made with pre-shaped memory wire, wire cutters, pliers, an assortment of medium-sized beads of glass, polymer clay, wood or plastic and one tube of size 11 seed beads. The assorted beads can vary in shape, size and colour. Cut the memory wire with the wire cutters, so that you have three to four loops in the wire. Use the pliers to bend the wire over on one end so that it makes a small loop; this is so that the beads do not slide off the end.

Add 1 or 2 seed beads onto the other end of the wire and push around the loops to the bent end. Now begin adding the assorted beads, with seed beads in between. Create any pattern you like.

Do this until you have reached the end of the memory wire. Slide on one or two more seed beads and use the pliers to bend the end.

Daisy Chains

The daisy chain bead pattern can be made in necklaces, bracelets or rings. To do this pattern you will need scissors, a beading needle, beading floss and size 11 seed beads in two colours, such as yellow and pink. Seed beads come in tubes or bags, one large tube or bag in each colour will be enough beads. A daisy chain is made of 8 seed beads in a circle and another bead in the centre.
