The Flinstones are a cartoon family originating in the 1960s who lived in the made-up town of Bedrock. The baby girl in the series, Pebbles, is the daughter of Wilma and Fred. Coming up with a creative and unique baby shower theme is challenging, but you can use Pebbles and her iconic outfit of a leopard-print dress and bone in her hair as a theme for a girl's baby shower.

Create unique invitations for your Pebbles-themed baby shower. Take white card stock paper and cut out a bone that will fit in a standard-size envelope. Print out a template from your computer if you do not feel you are able to draw it by hand. Purchase leopard print stickers that spell out "Baby Shower" and place them on the bone. Write additional party information such as time, place and registry information on the invitation. Mail these to guests at least three weeks in advance of the shower.

Table Decorations

Cover the tablecloth in a leopard-print cloth or purchase enough material at the fabric store to serve as a tablecloth for the party. Purchase a variety of plastic dinosaurs and tie pink bows around their necks. Scatter these on the table to represent the period of time the Flinstones lived in. Utilise the same template you did for the invitations and make place cards with each guest's name written on the bone.

Serve Pebbles-themed food at your party. Bake a variety of cupcakes using pink cupcake liners. Ice them with dark-coloured icing and use your preferred piping technique to draw a white bone like the one in Pebble's hair on each cupcake. Serve "Pebble's Punch" using your favourite punch recipe. You might choose a cherry or strawberry base to carry the pink theme throughout the food, as well.

Take Home Gifts

Create party favours for guests at the baby shower. Cut squares out of leopard fabric, approximately 6 to 8 inches wide. Place pink and white candy, as well as a plastic dinosaur similar to the one used as a table decoration, in the centre of the square. Bring all four corners together to create a bag and secure the corners with a thick string. Hot glue a small bone on the string to mimic the bone in Pebble's hair and distribute to guests as they leave the shower.
