The end of fall and the beginning of winter are excellent times to get creative and make holiday crafts. Festive reindeer face crafts can be created with an array of materials and many styles. Crafting while preparing for the Christmas holidays is a project enjoyed by families, classrooms or youth groups. Made with a few supplies purchased at a craft store, reindeer face crafts can be used to decorate a Christmas tree, wall, door, refrigerator, table or countertop.

Pine Cone Ornaments

Unique pine cone reindeer face ornaments are inexpensive crafts that can be used in multiple ways. These cute ornaments can decorate a Christmas tree or wrapped gifts. To make the reindeer face, lay down a 2-inch pine cone on its side. Glue a small red pom-pom on the tip of an open petal and then glue googly eyes slightly above. Tie a thin piece of red ribbon into a bow and glue on the pine cone below the nose. Cut and glue two 2-inch pieces of brown chenille stem to the back and bend into antler branches. Loop another chenille stem and attach to the back to use as a hanger.

Hands and Feet Reindeer

Reindeer crafts made with a child's foot and hand prints can be treasured by a parent or grandparent for years. On tan construction paper, trace each of the child's hands. Trace one foot, shoe and all, onto brown construction paper and then cut out the shapes. Position and glue the hand shapes to the back of the foot shape so that the fingers represent antlers. Glue on googly eyes and a pom-pom for the nose.

Red Nose Reindeer Canister

A reindeer face tin will add a festive look to a counter top or table. Homemade baked goods stored in the tins make terrific holiday gifts. The supplies used can be adjusted to fit any size can. To create a reindeer canister, cut a piece of brown felt long enough to wrap around an empty coffee or similar size canister. Secure the felt with a hot glue gun. Cut antler shapes from tan craft foam. Fold the centre and glue of the bottom the antlers and then attach to each side of the canister. Glue on a red pom-pom for the nose and two large googly eyes.

Wooden Spoon Reindeer

A wooden spoon reindeer is an inexpensive item that can be used as a classroom or group project. When working with smaller children, the antlers should be traced and cut from brown craft foam ahead of time. Have the children paint each side of a wooden spoon dark brown and leave to dry overnight. The children coat one side of each antler with glue and then sprinkle with red, gold or silver glitter. When dry, attach the antlers to the bowl side of the spoon with glue. Attach googly eyes and a red pom-pom nose. Draw the mouth of the reindeer with a black pen or marker.
