Electronic graphic organisers are essentially more advanced versions of traditional notebooks. These devices were designed to input and store a variety of data. With advancements in technology, many also have the ability to connect and transfer information with other organisers or computers. Like any other technological device, electronic graphic organisers have their advantages and disadvantages.

Large Volumes of Information Can Be Stored

One of the biggest advantages of using an electronic graphic organiser is the amount of information that can be stored. Even though these devices are relatively small, they keep large volumes of in-depth data. This makes electronic organisers much more efficient when compared to lugging around multiple notebooks of information.

Since these devices are small in size, it makes them perfect for people on the go. Travellers in particular can benefit from electronic graphic organisers and their portable nature. As a result, you can easily store and look up important information without any hassle.

Can Connect With Other Devices

Most modern electronic graphic organisers are also equipped with the ability to transfer data to other computers or mobile devices. This makes it possible to quickly complete tasks like checking and sending e-mail, looking up information online or sending data to coworkers. Obviously, traditional paper notebooks are incapable of such abilities.

Perhaps the biggest disadvantage of these devices are that they can be expensive. Prices can differ, but high quality products with a wide range of features come with substantial costs. As opposed to paper notebooks, electronic organisers cost much more.

Potential For a Crash

Another drawback is the potential for data loss due to a crash. Like most other electronics, graphic organisers can sometimes malfunction and lose important data. While some products have the ability to back up data to a computer, others do not. As a result, major problems can develop if a crash occurs.
