Computer Games for Ages 3-5

Today, a variety of computer games may be found for 3- to 5-year-olds. Games offer a handy break for parents while also teaching young children dexterity and important skills such as vocabulary, reading, numbers, math, memory and listening. Computer games may be found online for free and as software for purchase for Windows, Macs, PlayStation and Wii.

Online Computer Games

Many parents remember their own preschool experience with Sesame Street fondly. At, Sesame Street has created a free online interactive learning centre with computer games suitable for preschoolers. Children create dance moves with Zoe and learn to count with Elmo.

PlayStation 3 offers interactive computer games rated E for everyone at Learning with the PooYoos is an interactive computer game that incorporates baby animals to help children 3 to 5 years of age develop skills with numbers, letters, space, shapes and colours while receiving rewards. Designed for children who cannot yet read, this computer game includes spoken instructions in English, Spanish and French.

Puzzle Agent is rated E for everyone and integrates logic, puzzles, mazes and riddles.
