Gameshark codes for "Pokemon Gold" on the Game Boy Advance (GBA) system allow players to experience a level of game play unavailable to normal players. These codes can help you out of tough puzzles and situations or merely unlock strange and unique Pokemon and abilities, according to Cheatcodes. Each Gameshark code for "Pokemon Gold" consists of an alphanumeric stream that activates a new game option.

Unlimited Resources

By entering in "019973d5 019974d5 019975d5" into your Gameshark interface, you activate the "full money" cheat which fills your character's wallet, allowing you to buy any item in the game. Inserting "01??FDD5" allows you to use the "ball modifier" code, which lets you obtain as many of each type of pokeball as you wish. "Item modifier" is achieved by entering "01??B8D5" which lets you trade any existing item for another of your choice.

Pokemon Editors

Inputting "01??3FDA" into your Gameshark unlocks the best genes for your current Pokemon, maxing out their attributes. "01FF40DA", also known as the hidden power code, gives a Pokemon of your choice their hidden power, regardless of their current level.

Game Altering Codes

Change the current day by entering "01??DCD1." Additionally, by typing "010116d1", you can catch other trainer's Pokemon, which is usually prohibited by the rules of the game. Finally, your Pokemon will be able to fight other Pokemon of any level if you enter "01??FCD0".

Unlock Codes

"010719D1" entered into the Gameshark allows you to catch shiny Pokemon, something that is normally unlocked by high level players only. "010aa6ce" is a code called "no clipping," which allows players to walk through walls and other obstacles, preventing lengthy game time spent puzzle-solving.
