When thinking about a walking, hungry corpse, the term "sexy" doesn't usually spring to mind. Zombies are scary and they can even be gross if they have been decaying long enough for the stench to set in. However, it is possible to incorporate sex appeal into a zombie costume with more than just a sexy outfit. With the use of some make-up techniques, a person can have the face of a zombie while looking "sexy" at the same time.

Smoky Eyes

Create dark, smoky eyes for a more cryptic sexiness. In order for the dark, smoky eyes to appear more like the eyes of a zombie, the eye shadow may be applied after creating a "sunken-in" look with dark circles under the eyes. The dark circles may be created using a light grey or brown colour to help in the process of simulating a "dead" appearance with discolouration, while the dark, smoky eyes will add a mysterious sex appeal.

Red lipstick may be applied, not only to add sex appeal, but also to give the impression of "bloody" lips. Lipstick on the mouth of a zombie wouldn't stay perfect while the undead creature is feasting on its victims, so don't worry about applying the make-up flawlessly. After the lipstick has been applied, slightly smear it so that the exterior areas of the lips are also smudged with red lipstick.

Skin Tone

Any skin tone will do, as long as the make-up used to create the skin tone resembles a corpse. The foundation may simply be pale or it might have green or yellow undertones. For a more unrealistic or cartoonish zombie look, the skin tone can be pure green. Lighter shades of green, such as lime green will work better than darker shades, since it will help to contrast the other, darker colours used on the face. Using green rather than realistic skin tones will also help in creating contrast with the red lipstick because the two are opposing colours.

Zombies have something in common with many of the women who work in modelling agencies. Both often have hollow cheeks. The big difference is the fact that a zombie's hollowed-out cheeks tend to be more sunken-in and sickly-looking while a model with high cheekbones will have a more delicate hollow appearance that gives definition to the face without taking away from the attractiveness. Use make-up with dark green undertones to highlight the hollow areas of the cheeks. Apply it lightly to create a delicate hollowness instead of a sunken-in look.
