Updated July 20, 2017

Nestle has been sweetening up glasses of milk -- chocolate or strawberry -- for decades. Strawberry Nesquik can add a touch of berry sweetness to more than just a glass of 2 per cent. Several recipes -- from cake to hot chocolate -- incorporate this ingredient.

Neapolitan Pound Cake

This tricolour treat will bring a visually appealing spin to dessert. Beat 227gr. of cream cheese (thawed to room temperature) with four large eggs until smooth. Beat in one 517gr package of white cake mix alternately with 3/4 cup of milk. Beat on high for two minutes. Set aside 2 cups of this batter and stir in 3/4 cup of Nesquik chocolate-flavoured powder. Set aside another 2 cups of cake batter and stir in 3/4 cups of Nesquik strawberry-flavoured powder. In a greased and floured 10-inch, 12-cup fluted tube pan, spoon in the strawberry cake batter. Tap pan on counter lightly to level the batter. Spoon the white batter over top, then add the chocolate cake batter. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 55 to 65 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack for 45 minutes. Loosen from pan and sprinkle with icing sugar.

Chocoberry Hot Cocoa

Add the strawberry taste to hot chocolate with this quick and easy drink. Mix 4 tbsp (two envelopes) of hot cocoa mix, 2 cups of hot milk and 4 tsp. Nesquik strawberry-flavoured syrup. Stir until well combined and serve immediately. This recipe will make two servings.

Banana Split Hot Cocoa

This recipe combines a trifecta of dessert favourites -- strawberry, banana and chocolate. In a blender, combine 3 cups of milk, 1/2 cup (four envelopes) chocolate-flavoured hot cocoa mix, one large banana (cut up) and 1/4 cup Nesquik strawberry-flavoured syrup. Blend until smooth and pour into a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot. Pour into mugs. Top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, maraschino cherries and chopped walnuts as desired. This recipe yields four servings.

Bunny Safari Smoothie

Serve up a sweet but healthy treat for breakfast. In a blender, mix 1 cup of fat-free milk, two bananas, 1 cup of ice cubes and 1/3 cup of strawberry-flavoured Nesquik powder. Blend until smooth. This recipes also works well with chocolate-flavoured Nesquik powder. To add variation, blend in 1 cup of raspberries in place of the banana.

Strawberry Brownies

The flavour of strawberry Nesquik will be in every bite of these decadent brownies. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup of sugar, 3/4 cup melted butter and 2 tbsp half-and-half. Add two large eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract to the sugar mixture. Whisk thoroughly. In a separate bowl, combine 1 1/3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups of strawberry-flavoured Nesquik powder, 1/2 tsp of baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt. Stir into sugar mixture. Fold in 1 cup of white chocolate chips into batter. Pour into a 9-by-13 greased baking pan and place in a 350 degree oven. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
