Alkaline Water for Adult Human Consumption

Alkaline water for human consumption has a pH of 8.0 to 10.0, which is higher than tap water. There have been several suggestions that alkaline water neutralises acidity in the human body, and as a result, boosts metabolism and energy leading to weight loss. Ionised water does taste fresher and doesn't have any odours. Babies should not be given alkaline water. Instead, it is recommended that they are given neutral water, which has a pH of 7.0.

Alkaline Water for Gardening

Alkaline water is useful for gardening and plating . Plants thrive when gardeners use alkaline water to water them, but not without drawback. While plants are stronger with use of alkaline water, over time they become more basic. As a result, they're not able to process and acidify water as necessary, which creates nutrient deficiencies within the plant. If you use alkaline water for gardening, add potassium, iron, phosphorous and nitrogen as supplements, and expose your plants to natural rainfall when possible.

High Alkalinity Water

High alkaline water has a pH of over 11.5. Ionized water at this level is unsafe for drinking. However, you can use high alkaline water for cleaning fertilisers, pesticides and fungi from produce, cleaning oily surfaces and in environmentally friendly house cleaning.

Where to Buy Ionized Alkaline Water

You can purchase bottled alkaline water form at your health or healthy grocery store. Alkaline water bottles are also sold online through large health and retail merchants. If you do not wish to purchase bottles, you also have the option of purchasing a home ioniser, which vary in price.
