Nightclubs are hubs of after-hours activities, offering dancing, music, food and drink, and a festive atmosphere. However, customers are the name of the game for a successful venue and getting them in the door requires strategic promotion. If you generate strong promotional ideas to attract a crowd, your nightclub has the potential to become the hottest spot in town.

Themed Nights

Themed nights draw a niche crowd that might not otherwise frequent your establishment. For example, a ladies night with killer drink specials -- prices they can't get anywhere else or even free drinks until a certain time -- will not only draw a crowd of women, but the men that follow them from club to club. Promote your ladies night to women's gyms, colleges or universities and at restaurants.

Promote Unique Drinks

One of the ways to promote your bar above others is to focus on things you offer that no other nightclub in town offers. For example, provide a unique drink that patrons can't get at any other club -- such as the Club Rehab Rum Remix and then theme a night around the drink, like Remix Fridays -- where your club plays remixes of popular music and offers a deep drink special on your signature cocktail.

Host Special Events

If you want potential customers to see your venue as a fun place to party, offer to let a large group hold an event there. It might be a fraternity or sorority that hosts a celebratory club night for a special occasion or a group of party girls that wants to make a name for themselves as promoters. Work with varying groups to draw different types of crowds to your establishment.

Create A Group of Promotional Models

Hold a casting call for promotional models and choose a group that is friendly, sexy and approachable. Then, send them out to pass out postcards and flyers for your club, advertising your various nights. Get them involved in local events, so they consistently have a presence -- and so does your club. Give them cute T-shirts and other promotional clothing and accessories, so they are constantly spreading the word about your club.
