How much do you get paid for each rank in the marine corps?

Members of the U.S. Armed Forces get paid according to their pay grade. A pay grade is just another name for rank, but since rank names vary between the services, it's necessary to have pay grades to make sure everyone gets paid the same even if the person's rank is named differently. Besides rank, the time you've served in the Marines will also factor into how much you get paid.

Enlisted Marines

The military pay tables are put out every year and take effect Jan. 1. There are slight changes made every year, usually for a pay increase. Every few years you serve in the Marines can increase your pay, so for a full list of salary information, go to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service's website to look up the pay tables (see Resources). As of 2011, the monthly pay rates for enlisted Marines range from lowest salary to highest as follows, listed in order with both rank and pay grade:

They've served some time at a lower rank, and they actually earn a little more money for this valuable experience. The ranks in the Marine Corps that may receive a nonstandard salary are:

Private (E1) with four months of service or less: £882.10

Second lieutenant (O1) with at least four years and a day of service as enlisted or warrant officer: Lowest = £2,276.6, highest = £2,826.9
