    Ideas for 32-Year Birthday Parties

When a person turns 32 she is past the novelty of being able to drink alcohol and far from going over the hill. Turning 21, 30 or 40 may a big deal, but what about all those birthdays in between? There are a lot of ways to throw a party for a 32nd birthday, and you should not downplay the age just because it is not a milestone.

    Low-Key Party Ideas

You have already thrown a 30th-birthday bash. The 32nd birthday party may be best time to have a low-key party, and there are lots of ways to do this. If your birthday falls during nice weather, consider having a barbecue or a swim party. You can also opt to take a few close friends and loved ones to your favourite restaurant. Local theatrical shows or music performances are other low-key birthday party ideas.

    Girls or Boys Night Out

Thirty-two years usually come with more responsibility. Some people of this age have spouses, children and demanding jobs. So this birthday is a good time to have a party that just involves your friends. Leave your responsibilities at home and join your pals for a night out on the town. You can have a party at a comedy club or local watering hole. You can also host an event at a friend's house. Guys should consider having a poker night, and ladies can host a wine tasting.

    Just Family

Family affairs are always a meaningful way of getting together for a 32nd birthday. You can gather at a family member's house and have a cook off. If you have a very active family, do something outside, like a softball or flag football game followed by a picnic and cake. If you have a game-loving family, why not have a game night? Other ideas are having an extended family camping trip or a short vacation.

    Themed Parties

Themed parties are good for any occasion, particularly birthdays. The celebrants should choose something they are generally interested in. Perhaps they have a love of 1950s music, the Big Band Era or dressing up in costumes. Themed parties are easy to throw, and decor is generally easy to come by. Any decade can be worked into a theme, including the 1960s, '70s or '80s. You can throw a luau, complete with a roasting pig and Hawaiian dancing, or a fiesta, featuring Mexican food and a pinata. Themed parties can be small affairs or big bashes.
