Creative Gift Ideas for My Boyfriend

Updated March 23, 2017

Use your innate talents to create the perfect gift for your guy; put your artistic ingenuity to use by analysing your boyfriend's favourite activities. If your boyfriend loves food, make him a meal or give him a gift with a food theme, or paint him a picture or write him a song. A guy who is meant to be with you will appreciate your skills.

Memory Keepsake

Give your boyfriend a memory keepsake as a gift. Make a memory box by purchasing a wooden box at a craft store and decorating it with paint and stencils. Fill the box with pictures and mementos collected during your relationship, such as menus from the restaurant where you had your first date or tickets to a play you saw together. Keep in mind that you want your boyfriend to think that the gift is heartfelt but not corny.

Surprise Dinner

Lure your boyfriend back to your place and surprise him with a home-cooked meal. Get creative with your meal by experimenting with different spices and ingredients until the dish tastes perfect. Base your dish on your boyfriend's personality. For example, an adventurous guy might love a homemade Indian meal while a traditional boyfriend could enjoy a broiled steak with onions and a side of asparagus. Make the dish look professionally cooked by wiping away any splatters before serving it.

Use Your Talents

Make your boyfriend a gift by using your innate talents. Think of your strengths, such as writing or painting, and create a gift that reflects his interests. For example, you can paint a picture of your boyfriend's childhood home as a sentimental gift or write a song about the place where you met to commemorate the relationship that you have.

Gift Basket

Purchase a wicker basket from a craft supply store and give him a themed gift basket, such as food, filled with items that he loves. For instance, fill a basket with baked goods, such as cookies or muffins, for a man who loves homemade treats. Alternatively, fill a basket with all of the ingredients for a meal. Surprise your boyfriend with the basket and then spend time together while you cook with the ingredients. Add tickets to a late night movie to the basket for an all-inclusive date.
