The Pioneer DEH-55BT is an in-dash auto CD-player. One of the main features of this model is that it can link with a cell phone via Bluetooth to allow hands-free phone calls. The Pioneer DEH-P55BT comes with a mounting kit which includes everything you need to mount the CD-player in your car.

Mounting Frame

The mounting frame is in the standard DIN size, measuring seven inches in width by two inches height and 6.1 inches in depth. It can be installed in any vehicle with a standard DIN mounting space. The frame provides a secure hold to the CD-player, preventing it from falling out of place or moving. Two extraction keys are also included to allow the removal of the CD-player from the frame.

Main Unit

The main unit represents the body of the CD-player which contains all the electronics and internal components of the unit. On the front side there's the CD-loading slot, front panel connectors and the reset button. The speaker connectors and power connectors as well as other auxiliary connectors are located on the rear-side of the main unit.

Front Panel

The front panel represents the control interface for the CD-player. It attaches to the front side of the main unit and contains the control buttons and screen. The front panel has a flip-down mechanism to allow access to the disc-loading slot. The front panel is detachable from the main unit to allow safe storing overnight, but can be fitted in place with a screw if necessary.

The microphone is used for handling phone calls via the Bluetooth interface of the CD-player. It comes with a mounting clip which allows it to be positioned in a place where it can capture the voice clearly, such as the sun visor or the steering column.

Remote Control

The Pioneer DEH-P55BT works with the Pioneer CD-SR110 steering wheel remote control which is sold separately. The remote allows you to control the CD-player or a connected phone without taking your hands off the steering wheel. It contains the basic buttons such as volume controls, source selection button, phone answering button and navigation buttons.
