Cute/creative ways to tell your girlfriend you love her
Just saying "I love you," like the symbolism of the heart, is a bit cliché. (Love 2 Love image by Dark Vectorangel from Fotolia.com)

Hearing the phrase "I love you" will certainly make your girlfriend happy. But when you say "I love you" with a creative flair that indicates that a lot of planning went into it, the gesture will make her absolutely melt. Fortunately, there's no shortage of original ways to tell your girlfriend that you love her.

Chocolate

It doesn't get any more cliché than giving your girlfriend chocolates that you picked up at the store to tell her that you love her. Ordering custom-made, personalised chocolates, however, will combine two of her favourite things -- chocolate and forethought from you. You can order customised chocolates online.

Breakfast in Bed

Breakfast in bed is yet another typical way to say "I love you" that you can take to a whole new level with a toast stamper. Include some toast and butter in the breakfast and, using a toast stamper, write "I love you" on the toast.

An "I Love You" Jar

Get a pad of Post-it notes (try using nicely coloured ones). Write one reason that you love your girlfriend on each note. Then put them in a large glass jar with a lid. Glue a picture of the two of you to the top of the lid and pimp out the jar a bit -- maybe use sparkly paint to write "I love you" on it.

Using the Stars

Purchase a package of glow-in-the-dark stars. While your girlfriend's not around, write "I love you" on the ceiling of your bedroom (or hers, if you don't live together) using the stars. When she turns out the light, she'll find your message.
