Easter is a fun holiday for children but one they may not completely understand. One way to teach children more about Easter, its meaning, and what happens on Easter Day, is through simple activity sheets they can do on their own. Give your kids a new activity sheet each day during the week leading up to Easter and they'll be even more excited for the big bunny, egg-hunting day.
Colouring books and printable Easter-themed colouring pages will keep kids busy for hours. Find pictures of eggs, the Easter bunny, religious content (if you choose) and baby farm animals such as chicks and ponies for a complete Easter colouring packet.
Easter Word Search and Crossword Puzzles
Have kids search for Easter-related words doing a word search or fill in the boxes with an Easter-themed crossword puzzle. Kids will have to become familiar with common Easter terms to complete the puzzles so they'll not only have fun but learn something as well.
Connect the Dots Pages
Connect the dots activity sheets are always fun as you connect the dots to reveal a secret picture. Challenge your kids to draw the hidden Easter picture (see Resources) by connecting the dots.
I Spy Easter Egg Hunt
Create a collage of Easter images. Use magazines and printed images from the Internet (if necessary) and paste onto card stock. Have kids play "I Spy," searching for a list on things you provide. They'll have fun challenging themselves to see how fast they can find the items or who can find them all first.
