Sears Craftsman tools have long been a part of both home and professional toolboxes. The Sears hardware department is a well-known source of tools for do-it-yourselfers and hobbyists. Garden tools meet the same standards as the rest of the Sears line of tools.

Early History

The Craftsman line started in 1927 with hand saws. Sears soon moved away from primarily supplying farmers with a more utilitarian tool line and began selling tools that looked good and preformed well. Their chrome-plated tools soon became the standard bearer for hand tools.

Garden Power Tools

The Craftsman name is used on a variety of garden power tools for the job site and home. These include chain and other power saws, tillers, lawnmowers, and snowblowers. Hand garden tools such as trowels, shovels and forks are also available. With the widespread use of Craftsman tools, people often need replacement parts.

One or Two-Year Warranty

Sears provides a two-year warranty on garden tools such as walk-behind lawnmowers, electric hand held garden power tools, generators, tillers and chippers/log-splitters. It offers a one-year warranty on other garden tools. This includes replacement parts necessary to fix the problem.

Ordering Replacement Parts

Replacement parts for Craftsman garden tools that are out of warranty are available either through Sears directly at Sears Parts Direct or through third party vendors such as Outdoors Distributors.
