Body

The body of the sewing machine is white with grey accents. The name of the sewing machine is written in red along the side, and the sewing setting buttons are located on the side. It also features a small digital display screen, which indicates the setting information. The "Needle Up and Down button" and the power cord are on the back of the machine. The "Needle Up and Down button" allows you to raise the needle up high enough so that you can place your fabric underneath the needle; you can then use the button to lower the needle when you are ready to start sewing. It also helps you sew thick fabrics since raising the needle higher can accommodate these types of materials.

Features

The Viking Huskystar C20 features an "Integrated Needle Threader," which helps you quickly and easily thread your needle. You can use preprogrammed buttons to perform common functions like creating button holes, and the sewing machine features up to 11 different buttonhole styles. It also works like a hand embroidery machine via the "Embroidery Stitch" function. You can adjust the needle based on your preferences, allowing you to create different types of stitches. Husqvarna Viking offers a one year warranty on electrical parts and a 10 year warranty on mechanical parts for this sewing machine.

Specifications

This machine creates up to 250 different types of stitches, and also has a "Memory Function" feature. The memory feature allows you to store your most commonly used patterns; just choose the stored pattern and hit the setting button to run that pattern again. The computer has an alphabet, which you can use to name the patterns that you create. It also comes with a free arm, and this arm allows you to sew cumbersome items like pant legs or sleeves. The free arm is located on the bed of the sewing machine, and it is a type of removable cylinder. You can arrange this arm in different positions to accommodate your sleeves and pant legs.

Accessories

The Viking Huskystar C20 comes with nine different presser feet. A presser foot is an interchangeable part that pushes down on your fabric as you feed it under the needle. As you lower the presser foot, it starts the tension disks, which control how much pressure is added to the thread. The nine presser feet on this machine include feet for adding buttons and zippers, and feet for embroidery, quilting and piped edges (cording). The sewing machine also comes with an all-purpose foot that you can use for a variety of sewing projects, including creating zigzag and straight patterns. You can create different hems like blind, rolled or narrow hems. Having different feet helps you to quickly and easily create a variety of professional-looking patterns, and also help you perform simple sewing tasks.
