Coach tours to Lourdes, France

Lourdes is a small town in the foothills of the French Pyrenees that is revered by Catholics as a pilgrimage destination. The story of Lourdes is that in 1858 a young girl called Bernadette saw a number of apparitions of the Virgin Mary before discovering a cave with running water in a nearby mountain. The waters running from the grotto at Lourdes are believed to have healing powers, which inspire huge number of pilgrims to travel there each year. As many of the visitors are elderly or sick, coach tours are a popular method of travel, where tour managers can ensure pilgrims arrived safely and in comfort.
